Expedition 2023 Taymen - 11

July 26, 2023. We set off in search of a pipe photographed with Yuri Yudin in 2008.

For a long time we look for the pipe along the banks of streams, but to no avail.

We found many stumps from sawed off trees opposite the dam built in May 1959, 100 m from our camp on the right bank of the stream.

Suddenly, the first signal was caught by the metal detector.

It turned out to be a dump site of rusty cans 20-25 cm deep in the ground.

This stump is next to the pile of cans in the ground.

There was another sawed off tree. Now we understand that this is the searchers camp.

Shura determined that the white coating at the ends of the wire was oxidation.

The metal detector picked up the signal. These are ski bindings.

Found what was left from a second bucket. The bucket is most likely enameled.

A hammered bracket was found in a birch. Most likely for attaching the chimney.

Went back to camp for lunch

Olga and I went to the dam built in 1959.

This bracket lay in the stream, 1 m from the dam.

Another 12 brackets were removed from the dam itself.

We began to examine with the metal detector the ground from the dam towards the May searchers camp.
