Expedition 2023 Taymen - 14

July 26, 2023. In search of a mysterious pipe, next to which Yuri Yudin is standing in the 2008 photo. Found the wrong one yesterday.
Once again, we examine the pipe we found.

We take scrapings of soot for study.

Further search did not yield any results. Apparently, the pipe was covered with needles and birch leaves for 15 years.
We had lunch, broke camp and began to climb the pass.
We went down to Yuri Kuntsevich's campsite.

We pass the alleged location of the labaz.
Sasha Konstantinov has already returned from the upper reaches of the Lozva. This is his canopy. He, like a true taiga outdoors man, lives without a tent.
We share information.
Late in the evening Shamil came from Otorten. Alive.
Shura Alekseenkov doesn't give up trying to find the place of the tent of the winter camp of the searchers using the 1959 photographs.
We decided to shelter Shamil from the rain for the night.
Morning July 27th. Today we leave and, according to the plan, descend to the Caska camp.
We broke camp and got ready to leave. Shamil has already gone to the Cedar and creek to pick up a rag soaked in the stream for research. He promised to catch up with us tomorrow.
A hiker from Kazan, Ilshat Husainov, approached from below. He has heard a lot about Shamil.
We go down to the Lozhka (Spoon) rest stop and have a break. We have nowhere to hurry.
Olga collects mushrooms. In the evening there will be a delicious dinner.

We stop for lunch.
In this place Olga finds an old trap. This is the fourth trap found on Auspiya in three years.

We arrive at the Caska campsite.

Someone's food supplies for the way back are hanging on a tree.

The arrival of a Moscow hiker with a dog. He, too, descends to the ford of Auspiya. Gives us greetings from Shamil.
In the morning we drink Teodora's coffee, have breakfast, break camp and go down the Auspiya to the ford to wait for our transportation.
Irina and Teodora
Can't miss the blueberries.
Blueberries
We stopped for lunch at the Shishka (Pine cone) campsite. Rain was coming. Stretched the awning.
After lunch we move on.
Bears own the forest.
What's for dinner?
We reach the road. This is what it looks like.

We reached the ford of Auspiya. This is where the truck can cross the river.
We set up camp just above the ford.
Shamil came late in the evening.
Teodora presents Shamil with a certificate of honor for his contribution to the investigation of the tragedy at the Dyatlov Pass
Shamil became emotional and began to cry.
Teodora takes pity and reassures Shamil.
Тhe dog snuffed a rabbit. For this he was forced to wear a muzzle.
In the morning Dmitry arrived in a GAZ-66 on Auspiya where it can be crossed (the ford).
Dmitry Pushin is the most adequate and decent driver who can drop you from Ivdel at any time of the year.
On the way to Ivdel we were stopped by the Forestry police for a check and they saw the antlers.
Everyone says goodbye to Olga and Oleg who will return back to the Dyatlov Pass.
