The loss for the Dyatlov case research community is immense.
He spent the last two decades of his life researching Death Mountain, and now he has set off on his own Expedition Unknown, to that undiscovered country.

Recently Igor wrote to me:
"I first registered on the Dyatlov forum under the nickname 3.14. Now, in essence, the result. I decided to go back to the origins and add π to the name."
π is an infinite decimal i.e. after the decimal point, the digits go on forever and ever. This is how I will remember Igor - with infinite knowledge on the case, infinite patience for anyone that would listen, and my respect and gratitude, that I will carry forever and ever.

One year without
|
For the one year anniversary of the death of IGOR PAVLOV (7 June 1964 - 24 June 2021) I went to the Dead Mountain in Austria and climbed it's highest peak Großer Priel 2515 m. For those who are not aware, our book "1079" describes the events that took place on 1-2 February 1959 on the mountain called Kholat Syakhl, or Dead Mountain in indigenous Mansi language. 1079 is the label and mention of that mountain on all maps and documents from that time. The name Dead Mountain gained popularity much later. By calling the book 1079 we are referring to the non-fictitious nature of our account of events. Sadly, Igor Pavlov didn't live to see his book in print.
